Martina’s athletic journey began at Sandia High School in Albuquerque, where she excelled in basketball, earning all-metro, all-district, and all-state honors1. She continued her basketball career at Stephen F. Austin and Louisiana Tech, where she played as a guard and was recognized for her skills and leadership on the court.
After her collegiate career, Martina transitioned into coaching and officiating, bringing her extensive knowledge and passion for sports to the next generation of athletes. She has been actively involved with the New Mexico Officials Association, where she officiates high school basketball games. Her commitment to fair play and sportsmanship has made her a respected figure in the local sports community.
In addition to her roles in athletics, Martina has also dedicated herself to education. She currently serves as a principal in Albuquerque, where she is known for her strong leadership and dedication to student success. Her ability to balance her responsibilities as an educator, coach, and official is a testament to her exceptional organizational skills and unwavering commitment to her community.
Martina Holloway’s journey from a standout athlete to a respected educator and sports official highlights her versatility and dedication. She continues to inspire those around her with her passion, hard work, and commitment to excellence.

Thanks to all who attended the first New Mexico Female Coaches Meeting on Sunday, September 17th, 2023. There were two outstanding speakers from 28.5, Cori Elms & Nikki Hays, who discussed "Family & Coaching," focusing on dealing with the demands of being a coach while also having the responsibility of being present in their own families' lives.
