New Mexico High School Coaches Association

Chester “Doc” Ledbetter served as the Executive Secretary/Treasurer of the New Mexico High School Coaches Association since about 1941.  At the Annual Coaches School in the summer of 1973, he informed the Board of Directors that he would be retiring by the end of the next year.  As the position was basically voluntary, that carried a small monthly stipend; Doc was the Athletic Director for the Albuquerque Public Schools.
